Suspects Wanted in Motor Vehicle and Trailer Theft

On Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 between the hours of 2:00 am and 3:00 am, a green Dodge pick up truck and a Big Tex trailer were stolen from a N. Burnt Hickory Rd. Business. The suspects surveyed the area in a black sedan, prior to stealing the Dodge pick up, and Big Tex trailer inside the industrial complex. Mason Paul Gladhill, white male, 21 years of age, was last seen on November 11th, 2019 in Douglasville, Georgia, unknown clothing description. Man Arrested in Douglas County for Murder in Alabama

On January 15th, 2020, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Dothan (Alabama) Police Department with the apprehension of murder suspect, Marcus Hubbard and a search of Hubbard’s residence. Hubbard was wanted in the October 24, 2019 murder of Rodney Caliste that occurred in the city limits of Dothan, Alabama. Collaborative efforts made by members of the Dothan Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) led to the successful arrest of Hubbard as he left his residence in Douglas County. Following the arrest of Hubbard, a search warrant was executed at his residence where illegal narcotics were located and appropriate charges were taken. Hubbard will face extradition to Alabama at the conclusion of charges pending in the Douglas County Judicial Circuit.

Man Arrested in Gas Station Shooting

On December 18, 2019, members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Texaco located at 2195 Fairburn Road in reference to an individual discharging a firearm. While at the scene a male arrived at Douglas Wellstar Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The investigation concluded that three individuals drove to the Texaco to purchase marijuana from Christopher Menjivar. During the transaction, Menjivar fired a weapon at their vehicle striking one of the passengers. Menjivar fled the scene, but was located by investigators the following day in Cobb County. Menjivar was arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon.

Man Arrested in Pete’s Chevron Armed Robbery

On November 12th, 2019 shortly after 11:00 AM, Carl Rupnow was shot to death during the commission of an armed robbery while running his Community Coffee route at Pete’s Store located at 1870 Lee Road in Lithia Springs, GA 30122.  The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office/Douglasville Police Department Major Case Unit did an exemplary job on rapidly identifying Freddy Pouerie of Lithia Springs as the suspect.  The expeditious manner in which this case was investigated allowed for investigators to identify the suspect’s place of employment where he was apprehended about 23:00 hours last night.  Members of the community that came forward were crucial in assisting investigators in the quick apprehension of Pouerie and thus making the community that much safer.  We would like to thank the community for their continued support in our efforts to make Douglas County a safe place to live.

Suspect Sought in Theft from PRB Electronics

On 11/05/19 at approximately 8:15pm a Ford Ranger was seen on camera driving to the rear of PRB Electronics, located at 2108 Fairburn Road. The vehicle appeared to have already been loaded down with several items in the back. An unidentified suspect is seen exiting the vehicle, attaching a parked trailer belonging to the business and then leaving. The tag attached to the trailer was TL137H7. Any information as to the recovery of the trailer or identity of the suspect involved, please notify Inv. E. Waters at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 678-486-1204. If the vehicle is spotted, please contact your local law enforcement.

 

 

Man Wanted for Multiple Burglaries

Mr. Thomas Freeman Miller is wanted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for multiple burglaries in August at the Tree Lodge Apartments located on Blairs Bridge Rd in Lithia Springs.  He is a known to frequent the Fulton Industrial Boulevard area. Mr. Miller has no known vehicle or current address information at this time.

Two Suspects Wanted in Gas Station Theft

On Sunday, October 27, 2019 at approximately 12:30 am, two black males were seen running out of the Marathon Gas Station located at 4917 Hwy 5 Douglasville GA 30135. One suspect was wearing a red hoodie and black pants. The second was wearing a dark color shirt, black pants and a striped sweater over his head. They were seen leaving the scene in a white Ford F-150 truck heading southbound on Hwy 5. Subjects removed the cash register and a plastic display with lottery tickets. Man Wanted for Theft from Home Depot

On September 30, 2019, at approximately 12:30, the unknown male above took several tools from the Home Depot located at 1000 Thornton Road, Lithia Springs Ga 30122 and walked out of the store without paying for them. Sheriff Pounds Makes Arrest in Homicide Case

On October 8th, 2019, shortly after midnight, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a person shot at the Efficiency Lodge located at 2420 Fairburn Road in Douglasville. Upon arrival, deputies located Thomas Edward Ball Jr., W/M, 42 YOA, who had been shot multiple times. It was discovered that he had just had an altercation with two young African American males. Ball was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Major Case Unit quickly identified suspects during their investigation, and upon the execution of a search warrant at the suspects residence, both suspects were arrested for the murder of Mr. Ball. The suspects are identified as Kevin James Flamer, B/M, 20 YOA of Douglasville, Georgia and Jeffery Lamar Kemp, B/M, 21 YOA of Douglasville, Georgia. Mr. Ball was the employed as maintenance man at the Efficiency Lodge and the confrontation occurred after he confronted the young men about being on the property without permission and acting suspiciously.

Two Men Wanted for Gas Station Theft

On 9/3/2019, a blue 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum parked in front of the Texaco located at 6990 S. Sweetwater Road. Two masked black males entered the store with pry bars while the driver stayed in the car. Suspect Wanted for Tampering with Game Machine

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office needs your assistance in identifying the male that is seen in this photo. On September 8th, 2019 this male was inside the Exxon Station located at 10801 Veterans Memorial Highway in Lithia Springs where he was seen on camera playing on one of the game machines. The male then forced open the access door on the machine he was playing on and removed approximately $1872.00 in cash from the machine. The vehicle he was seen operating appears to be a maroon Nissan Maxima. LOCATED: Please Help Identify This Vehicle’s Owner

UPDATE (09/26/2019 @ 3:31pm): The owner of the Dodge truck wanted in connection with a theft from 84 Lumber has been located. Thank you to everyone who has shared this info and/or contacted us about this case.


On August 23rd, 2019 this Dodge Ram Truck pulling a double axle trailer entered the outside storage area of 84 Lumber located at 13390 Veterans Memorial Highway in Douglasville. The truck was seen leaving with approximately $1945.80 in siding that had not been paid for. The truck is black, with black wheels and black tool box.
