Thanks to the Board of Commissioners and the Sheriff’s Asset Forfeiture Fund, the new reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for homicide and aggravated assault is $40,000.

On Saturday March 4, at 10:41 pm, Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Sitka Drive in reference to shots being fired. Information was given that multiple people were shot. Samuel Moon, 15 years of age and AJ’anaye (AJ) Hill 14 years of age were deceased. A total of 7 other people were shot, ages ranging from 14 to 19. At this time we are asking for the public’s help in identifying possible suspects. We are also asking for any witnesses that have not already talked to Investigators to please come forward.
