Active Shooter Training Video

On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office partnered with numerous other local and state emergency personnel to conduct and active shooter training exercise. This large-scale training drill was meant to test all agencies involved in an effort to prepare Douglas County First Responders in the event of a mass casualty active shooter event.

Over 200 civilian volunteers participated as well as over 125 first responders and emergency care providers to simulate as real as an event as possible.

“In the hopes that we never have to implement this kind of response, we choose to be proactive by planning and training for the worst, rather than to be caught unprepared.”
~ Tim Pounds, Douglas Co. Sheriff
