The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving reports on a new phone scam.  This particular phone scam is an individual claiming to be Deputy Chief Conner and asking for the person by name.  The fake Deputy Chief Conner provides a phone number and an extension and asks for you to call them.  The phone number provided states a similar answer message; however the address is not of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.  When the person contacts the extension it goes straight to another individual claiming to be Colonel Oliver.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wants to inform the Public that we are looking into these complaints.  If anyone has been contacted by a person claiming to be either Deputy Chief Conner or Colonel Oliver, please contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. 

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will not contact anyone to ask for money in exchange to remove warrants.
