The Training Division staff is committed to providing the finest basic, in-service, advanced, and specialized “Law Enforcement Training” to all employees of the Sheriff’s Office and to numerous other city, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Our proactive approach to training through hands-on, force-on-force, and simulation training better prepares the law enforcement officers with the knowledge and skills to provide protection and service to their communities, while affording dignity and respect to every individual.
With four full-time training staff members on hand and an additional 23 P.O.S.T. certified general instructors (several with multiple instructor certifications) throughout the Sheriff’s Office, we strive to ensure that all personnel are ethically, legally, and technically proficient, and will encourage them to be a positive influence in their profession and in their communities.
