The S.C.O.P.E. Division was created by Sheriff Tim Pounds in January of 2017 to facilitate better relationships between the Sheriff’s Office and our community that we serve. Our mission is to provide resources, education, and training to both our Corrections Officers and Deputy Sheriffs and to members of our community that we serve and protect. The S.C.O.P.E. Division has several components including Community Relations, The School Resource Officer Program, the BLAST Program and the Sex Offender Unit. Any questions or comments regarding the registry can be directed to Sgt. Joe Pounds. We are available to speak at any community or business function and can provide resources and training on a variety of topics.

Unfortunately,  due to the rising Covid-19 cases, we have made the tough decision to suspend all community events scheduled through our S.C.O.P.E. Division. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @DCSHERIFFGA for future updates.
