Douglas County Sheriff Tim Pounds has implemented a Reentry Program that will help to improve public safety and minimize high recidivism in Douglas County by providing support and connections for needed services. This program will work to ensure reentry ability through job placement skills, social skills, healthcare education, housing and transportation.
On April 11th, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office hosted the first Meet and Greet aimed at gathering together various resources for inmates who will be reentering the community. We would like to thank all the individuals who attended this meeting, and we hope to have more businesses that provide jobs for formerly incarcerated individuals come to our next Meet and Greet Event.
We also would to thank our local Kroger, Sam’s Club and Douglas Donuts for their donations for this event. We appreciate your support.
