On 4/13/17, the Sheriffs Office received information about a rumor being spread on social media that claimed that a student may have plans to carry out an act of violence against the school.

These rumors have been investigated by the School Resource Officer assigned to Lithia Springs High by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. There is no reason to believe that anything has happened or is being planned against Lithia Springs High School at this time.
