On Saturday, April 28th, Sheriff Tim Pounds, and several other community leaders were honored at the 2018 Youth Business Tank event hosted by Evolving Excellence. This organization “is a youth empowerment group dedicated to teaching students solid business skills, providing programs that build self-esteem while helping students to identify the value in others, as well as seminars to strengthen parenting skills.” The event Saturday night gave students a chance to pitch their business ideas in a “Shark Tank” like setting, as well as served as a venue to spotlight community leaders who have had a positive impact on teens and their families. Sheriff Pounds would like to thank Evolving Excellence for the recognition, and we are looking forward to working closely together in the future.
