2019 Kids’ Law Enforcement Academy

Chief Michael Mansour and Sheriff Tim Pounds have again partnered for the 2019 Kids Law Enforcement Academy (KLEA). Joining us in this partnership is the Douglas County Board of Education.

The dates are Monday July 15th through Friday July 19th. The location is Mirror Lake Elementary School. We will begin each day’s events at 9 o’clock am and conclude at 3 o’clock pm.

The Kids’ Academy is for children who will be in grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Attendees must be a resident of the City of Villa Rica (Carroll or Douglas County side) or Douglas County and not have attended the Academy in the past 3 years.

Applications are available at the Villa Rica Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

ALL applications MUST be turned into either agency no later than Saturday, July 6th.

For the comfort and safety of the children, parents and or guardians will not be allowed to be present during the academy. A special graduation ceremony will be held on Friday July 19th that is open for parents/guardians.
